Towards the end

I like this a lot. I'm not normally into cut-flower still life stuff, but you've managed to make a very traditional subject fresh and new. There's an interesting play going on here, I think. On the one hand, the image seems very modern to me, with the background and reflected objects, but at the same time, the coloration of the photo gives it a vintage feel, as does the traditional subject matter of flowers in a vase, and so I think you've managed to create a timeless image. I also love the way you've captured the reflections and refractions in the water. The distortion of the image lends an unexpected twist to the composition, throwing the viewer off slightly and giving a depth to what would otherwise be a straightforward shot. The colors are nice, too; you've achieved a good balance of warm and cool colors and the splash of red near the center injects energy into the photo. Overall, great job!
